The Cleveland district has added new features like a GPS tracking system, fire suppression systems, and automatic breaking on newer buses. Each bus is also equipped with cameras to monitor what is going on inside and outside the bus. There is even an app available to parents to keep them informed of delays and other events. State laws are also in place to put pressure on drivers to follow traffic rules. There are heavy fines and penalties in place for those that get caught for school bus violations.
